Six Sidewalks Reparation Postponed

Jakarta Bina Marga Dept has postponed six sidewalks reparation in the capital this year. It is due to problems in the field.

Then six others will be postponed. Because it clashed with other projects, we have no choice

Head of Jakarta Bina Marga Dept, Yusmada Faisal disclosed, from 48 points of sidewalk that will be repaired, 24 out of them are under construction and 18 other points are under e-purchasing stage.

"Then six others will be postponed. Because it clashed with other projects, we have no choice," he told, at City Hall, Tuesday (9/20).

Sidewalk Repair in South Jakarta Has Been 25 Percent Done

He explains sidewalk reparation is not solely concerned with the road expansion up to 1.5 meters, but also rearranging lane.

Those six sidewalks are in Mampang Prapatan, Tanjung Duren, Menceng, Kelapa Dua Wetan, Taman Mini Pintu 1, and Dr Sumarno areas.

"Such in Mampang Prapatan, we don't have time to repair it because we have the flyover project," he told.

In addition to constraints on the ground, the vendor is also not able to conduct it. Because most vendors are already working on sidewalk reparation at other points. As planned, the six sidewalks repair will be budgeted again in 2017.

"Just finished a few percentage, we already entered a second contract," he finished.
